Adobe Illustrator tutorial lesson and silhouettes

In last weeks class, Tony taught us how to use the tools in Adobe Illustrator to draw a cartoon character of our choice. We chose a character (I chose Mickey Mouse), made it more transparent and locked them into the back layer, then created a new layer and used the line and colour tools to make our versions of the character over the top of the picture.

We also made silhouettes with Adobe Photoshop, using the loop tool to create a basic shape and refining them into silhouettes of characters with the brush tool and using black and white colours, which was fun. I really struggled with this part of the lesson because I couldn’t see any characters in the silhouettes that I made, so I am going to go away and work on this for next lesson.
